Alex Johnson
Hi! I’m a senior studying Public Policy and French with an Ethics certificate. I chose these majors because I’m interested in how policy decisions are made from the local community to international level. I also think there’s a lot of room in government for improvement, social justice, and more equity. I’m not sure what I’m doing next year, but I think that’s okay right now.

10
Things I've learned that will still matter in 10 years
I am stronger than I think
There’s always something new that I can learn no matter how old I get
People come in and out of my life, and there isn’t always a why. It’s normal.
It’s okay to cry.
Everyone has a different perspective. Listen and try to understand how they see the world.
Sometimes meeting new people is just about putting yourself out there in a social setting.
What other people think doesn’t matter; in fact, they’re probably worried about the same thing.
Don’t take anything for granted.
Always have a pet... they rock.
Check-in with someone different once a day, whether you know them well or not. They’ll probably appreciate it.
